Our Pecans and Citrus are true products of the river.
The Nueces River area in Texas.
The first place that pecans were discovered.
Nestled along the Nueces River and throughout South Texas is where our pecan orchards are located. Since the Spanish word for nut is " nuece ", the Spaniards named this river to describe what they had found. The first pecans ever mentioned in history were recorded by the Spanish explorers in Texas. They noticed that the Indians would subsist entirely on pecans for the two or three months they were in season, with nothing else to supplement their diet. This illustrates how amazingly nutritional the pecan is ... and just as natural as can be. By growing and selling our own pecans from this same historic area, we have earned our proud reputation for producing unsurpassed quality and natural freshness.

South Texas' Rio Grande River and Florida's Indian River
The best locations in the world for citrus.
Our fine citrus comes only from those two areas. Undeniably they are the best quality citrus producing regions in the world. Both areas are limited in size to roughly 40 miles wide by 90 miles long. The rivers in these two areas help to create the lush, semi-tropical climate ideal for citrus trees and contain the rich soils and nutrients that make their fruits so special. What classifies this citrus as the best quality is the fruit's thin skin, early sweetness, and abundance of juice. Whether it be Texas or Florida, our Ruby Red Grapefruit and sugar sweet River Royal Oranges have uncommon flavor and are loaded with “good old Vitamin C."
